I think that the Nurse is the most innocent character so far. She hasn't done anything wrong but try to help Juliet. She gives her advice and is the closer to her than her own parents. She tries to understand Juliet's point of view and hasn't done anything to cause any trouble.
I don't think anyone in this play is really innocent. Although some characters like the Nurse or Mercutio are just trying to help, they all have a choice with their actions. Mercutio, even though he is just trying to help Romeo, has the choice to fight Tybalt or walk away. Romeo and Juliet have a choice whether to get married, run away, tell their families, etc. The characters do not always make the right choice but it was still their choice to make so they are not really innocent.
I think that so far the most innocent character in this play is Benvolio. He is always the voice of reason and doesn't do anything wrong, he is just a great friend to Romeo as well as Mercutio. He always has great advice and just trys to help. Kasey
I agree with Kasey that Benvolio is the most innocent victim. Though there are many good-hearted characters in this play, Benvolio is the only one that is always thinking about the welfare of not just himself, but everyone else also. Benvolio is always trying to do the right thing and he tries to stop a fight before it gets out of hand. Like Kasey said, he is always the voice of reason, he never wants anyone to get hurt and he wants the two families to stop fighting.
I have to agree with Tim and Kasey that Benvolio is the most innocent. Benvolio was a character who was put in the play to "shape" Remeo. He doesn't do anything wrong and keeps watching people die.He has done nothing to deserve any of this.
I would have to agree with Emily. I don't think that any of them were innocent. They all played some part in the story and in every scene there is an twist or someone says something that causes something else to happen. Even Benvolio. If he had not of given all of his advice, then Mercutio would have not have felt as prideful and then the fight with Tybolt would have never started. Then Romeo would have never been banished.
I would have to say that no one is really innocent but if i had to chose i would chose the nurse. I agree with Emily because most of the characters choices do not make them innocent. Although the nurse does help Juliet she is still not the most innocent victim.
