It would be impossible to have a "perfect" mate because there's nothing that is perfect in the world. However, I think that it's important to know what to look for in a mate because if those expectations can be met by the other person, then it might be easier to deal with the faults of them and fight less.
What i found intresting is what my parents said. They put down alot of stuff i never would have thought and looked at the worksheet from a compleatly different angle that what i did.
This assignment helped to show what we see in our "perfect mate." My parents said things that I wouldn't of thought to put down, but I agreed on them. A perfect mate isn;t really perfect, but what we love about our perfect mate is maybe their flaws.
Most students shared common values with their parents when it came to basics like a sense of humor and honesty. A “perfect mate” in my opinion does not exist or something that can be planned. There can’t be any way to be able to tell exactly what you are looking for only a ballpark estimate. For example hobbies; to be compatible people have to share common interests remembering that not all your hobbies have to be the same for a relationship to work.
I've noticed that it's almost impossible to have a "perfect mate" due to that everyone, and their parents have a whole different point of view than one another. Although some people's parents had said the exact same thing that they had said. Some people have their own opinions on a perfect mate.
***Last published comment was on my sister's account. Even though there is no such thing as the "perfect mate", it is interesting to see how each parent would have something similar to their childs for this ideal person. My parents also had more thought out and complex ideas too, where I put down more basic traits.
I don't think anyone could ever find a "perfect" mate because that’s not possible. There are many qualities that are important in looking for a mate, so I think you can't plan or anything and just have to look for what you think is best. I was surprised at how most people's traits matched their parents'. They gave me additional traits to think of, as well.
the parents' idea for a perfect mate involves its lasting benefits that'll ensure the kids of a happy relationship until they are old. The kids' idea of a perfect mate doesn't consider as far. Our idea more involves around the at hand problems and situations. But more often than not, people don't find someone that exactly matches their expectations
The concept of a perfect mate does not even make sense, because no one is perfect. I would not even be interested in a perfect person, you like people for what they’re good at, but you love people for there flaws.
I found it interesting to read what my parents put down. They put down the basics but when i told them that they could have put more they asked for it back
i don't think it is possible for anyone to have a perfect mate, but they could have some one close to perfect for them. i found that my parents had a similar idea of what would be a perfect mate for me ABSENT
A "perfect mate" is usually impossible to find and different for each person. What surprised me was how both my parents and I had such similar "exapmles" of what a perfect mate would be. They even listed almost the exact traits that I would want in a mate for me.
I thought it was really weird that my mom put down more characteristics on her side then I did on my own side, but all the things I had on my side, my mom had too. It also showed me how much I rank looks before I rank personality since that's the initial attraction you have towards a person, when we all should be judging peoples personality.
The idea of having a perfect mate is impossible. There is always going to be places where you hit speed bumps and have to work everything out, or not. Having a perfect mate would be like having a clone of yourself! Nobody wants
I thought the perfect mate hand out was a good thing to do because it showed that we have many of the same attractions of out parents. There’s a saying that says “You marry your mother”. I think this is true because as a child you absorb your parent’s actions and take what they do for granted. In class we discussed the differences and similarities. Some of the differences come with age, like wanting someone that likes to listen to you and thinks your funny, as opposed to the kid, who doesn’t really understand the value of that yet
i beleive there is no "perfect" person in this world, we are all different and all have our flaws that shine out. but if we just accept our flaws and our selves, than i do beleive we can create "perfect" person in our minds becuase their flaws wouldnt be judged.
