Choice in Romeo and Juliet occurs multiple times. I think the biggest choice that Romeo makes is to go to the ball at the Capulet's. If he hadn't of gone then he would of never met Juliet. With fate it most shows up at the end because it's fate that brings Juliet back to life after Romeo dies.
In Romeo and Juliet, fate and choice play a significant role because the choices that characters make lead to their fate. Romeo chose to go to the Capulet party, but that lead to his fate of meeting Juliet. And later in the story, Juliet is driven to kill herself because of Romeos decision to drink the poison, leading to their overall fate.
In Romeo and Juliet, fate as well as choice is very common. It was Romeo's choice to go to the capulets feast where he met Juliet but by fate, Juliet killed herself after Romeo poisened himself even though the goal was for the two to be together. It was also Juliet's choice to poison herself instead of marrying Paris, risking the love between she and Romeo.
In this play choice and fate affect each other greatly. It was Romeo’s choice to attend the Capulet’s ball but because of his choice fate had the chance to intervene making him see Juliet. If he had not gone, if he had made another choice to not go, fate could not make him see Juliet at that point in time. Choice is the initial downfall of these star-crossed lovers and after they make their decisions fate has only a few things to play with for what they have chosen. It just seems that every choice they make has so many bad possible outcomes fate always ends up picking a bad outcome. Another example of this is when Romeo slays Tybalt. Romeo made the choice to intervene between the fight of Mercutio and Tybalt but fate makes Mercutio be stabbed under Romeo. If Romeo did not make this choice then fate couldn’t have Tybalt stab Mercutio when he was aiming for Romeo.
Fate and choice are a huge part of Romeo's and Juliet's relationship. It was Romeo's choice to go to the ball and meet Juliet, but it was fate that made them fall in love. Also it is the families choice of hating each other, and that deep hate the families have toward each other bring Romeo and Juliet together even more. Through out their love they have made choices that bring disaster with them but fate always brings them back together and no matter what they can't escape it.
Usually choice and fate would be considered opposites, but in Romeo and Juliet, these two go hand in hand. Every choice that they make is making fate occur, so what I wonder is if there is even such thing as fate, or if fate is just the resulting occurrence after they make a choice. Since there is no way to check if Romeo and Juliet would have met if Romeo had made the choice not to go to the ball, we'll never get to know if them meeting was a result of choice, pure fate, or if these are the exact same thing.
Choice plays a huge role in Romeo and Juliet because it was Romeo's choice to go to that ball and Juliet's choice to accept him so quickly. Fate comes up multiple times like when the srevant asks Romeo to read the guest list or when behind Rosaline was Juliet.
Choice and fate play a big role in Romeo and Juliet. In act III and IV a lot of choices were made by both Romeo and Juliet. Romeo decided to try to break up the fight between Tybalt and Mercutio and then killed Tybalt after he had slain Mercutio. Then in order to avoid marrying Paris, Juliet decided to drink a potion to make her seem as if she was dead. But fate comes in when the friar’s letter doesn’t make it to Romeo in time before his servant tells him that Juliet is dead. Also, Romeo drinks the killing potion mere seconds before Juliet awakes.
Choice and fate both play huge roles in Romeo and Juliet. The whole play is actually about their choices and fate. It was Romeo's choice to go to the Capulet's party, but it was fate that let him read the invitation list. Juliet chose to defy her parents and to quickly accept Romeo; however, it was fate that helped bring them love at first sight. Both Romeo and Juliet's choices and fate brought them together.
In Romeo and Juliet the distinction between choice and fate is not a very clear line. In was choice that brought Romeo to Juliet. But it was fate that Romeo killed him self just before Juliet woke up.
I think choice had very little to do with the tragic events in romeo and juliet. Romeo did not choses to fall in love with juliet, and they felt like now that they fell in love they had to get married. Juliet felt like she had no choice to take the poison, she thought that she couldn't marrie Paris. I the end they felt like they would not be able to live with out each other. In realty all of the things they did were choices but it seemed to inescapable.
In Romeo and Juliet, choices control more than fate. It was Romeo's choice to go to the pary, only did fate locked the two eyes. Choice made them talk to each other, kiss, meet again, get married, have friends and family killed and follow with thier own deaths. The only fate that occured was through seeing each other for the first time, but choice ruled everything after.
i think it was all fate in there love because hoe he finds her new love looking at her old love and how he end up in her backyard and get married that fast.
Romeo and Juliet were met and fell in love because of fate, but the rest are choices that led to the current circumstance. Fate and choice intertwined to create the tragic story we have now. Romeo were able to choose rather or not to go to the ball because of fate had led the servant to him, or is it because the servant chose to walk that path at that time and talked to romeo?
I think that fate and choice both play a huge role in romeo and juliet. I think it was fate that they fell in love but the choices they made through out made there relationship unique and special.
In Romeo and Juliet, fate plays out by the way they meet each other, and how everything falls into place. choice plays into it by how they choose to continue their love even though the both know the difficulties they face ahead.
Choice and fate are similar things in Romeo and Juliet. Romeo's choices got him to meet Juliet, and it was Juliet's choice to become married to Romeo. Ending up with a plan which was to go wrong was their fate. As it was Romeo's choice to rush to the Capulet Vault immediately.
