A Man Named Pearl made me think differently about appreciating what you have and to not be afraid to pursue your dreams. Pearl said that you should never forget where you came from, and he would understand because he came from a poor family, but he realizes that the life he had growing up made him who he is today. I also learned from him that there's always people who don't like you, and for him that happened often as he grew up a black living in the south, but that didn't discourage him from pursuing his dream. I learned to always go after your dreams no matter what stands in the way.

I saw that you can’t always look at things the hard way and stepping back to look at it in a simple way helps you have fun like a kid and get something done you never would have thought you could have. That even though tradition is there it does not have to be followed and I was happy to see that because it showed me that obstacles and assumptions of people aren’t always close and can be way off. The movie showed me that human potential can reach further than I thought as long as someone is supporting you and you see that you can do things you want to do because you have a passion for them and that is more important than the skill to keep your interest and produce the best work. I know that when someone has done something incredible despite the odds and they still give create to the people that inspired them that it was real ownership and something to admire. A person is now better than the person or people who helped get them there but one that thinks positive about sometimes tough situations is a real quality to admire. I don’t have to be the person to solve world hunger but if I leave something positive then I have reached a goal. These ideas made me feel better about myself and taught me that I need to respect myself as well as others.

This movie was very inspiring to me, and many others. I learned that you can achieve your dreams by having the love for what you do, as well as the commitment. Pearl loved what he did; not many people have the nerve to do what he does, but this showed me that as long as you work hard and have the determination to do something, you can accomplish many things. So many people appreciated his work, and even though it may not have turned out good at first, Pearl never gave up, he just kept trying new things. I learned that even though something may not turn out the way you want it to at first, you should never give up and always go after your dreams no matter what stands in your way.

The move show that even if you can't do something, you can do it if you tried. Pearl had no garden training and he still was able to grow a spatacular garden; but then was able to shap it into cool shapes. He said he did this with love. He taught us that if we want to do something then all we have to do is try and put our selfs into it, then we will be able to achive our goals.

The movie inspired me because it made me realize that you should always keep your dreams in sight and that you CAN actually achieve them. It gave me hope that maybe someday I too will be able to pursue my dreams and interests. It showed that determination and love for your dreams/interests will help you reach them, and that you shouldn't abandon them just because you, or other people, don't think you can. It gave me more hope for my future, and reminded me that my future is still wide open.

A Man Named Pearl made me think differently about how I personally need to approach my goals in life. There are going to be obstacles, but if what you really want to do in life is still an option, you have to deal with these obstacles in an effective manner. By working hard towards these goals, there is a better chance to achieve them and have a more profound outcome than if you barely even try. Pearl taught me that with hard work comes great reward. This doesn't have to be anything materialistic, but instead, a sense of pride or accomplishment in ones self. It is better to share what you know with other so that it may be used in other ways by these people, than to keep what you have learned in life to yourself. From there, your accomplishment only dies and loses much value. Pearl taught me to take that extra step in life to achieve what I want to no matter what it takes or how long it takes.

Pearl and his topiaries reminded me of all the non-school related talents one may have. Being good at Math, Science, English or History isn't everything. Even if u got bad grades during school doesn't mean you won't be successful in life. Everyone have something that they're good at, rather they knew yet or not. Pearl pursued his dream with passion. He worked hard to achieve what he had now, people might wonder, why him? why does Pearl get all the fame? But if u watched his story u'd respect him.

It made me realize even if you don't have much you can still make the best of what you have. He followed his dream with something so simple, plants. He took something so ordinary and made it interesting. It made me think if i was as passionate about anything as much as pearl is about his gardening.

A man named Pearl made me think about how little things can become important in odd ways. Like Pearl's topiary work. To some it may just be plants but to others it means a lot more. It is a symbol of hard work and perseverance.

Pearl, a simle small town guy who made a huge impact on many many peoples life that pass through the small town of Bishiopville. Pearl really opened my eyes to new ideas and really made me think about what i want to do in life. My goal is to make an impact on peoples life and help them with their troubles,[i plan on being a phycatrist] Pearl was a phycatrist in his own little way, because he took all of peoples problems and troubles and left them at the gate of his yard, and they wouldnt be thought of while seeing the beuty that he had created. Seeing the results that Pearl got from teh people and just be so accepted within his society, and even outside his society, just really made me want to build a garden myself, and although i know that i dont have the artistic hand, Pearl Friar still made me beleive that if you just take all your talents and dreams, and put them for the good of others, you will always creat a friendly smile on someones face. So i thank Pearl Friar for teachign me something so big, through something so small, such as a complex garden.

This movie, about Pearl was very inspiring. It told me and others that you can achieve your dreams no matter where you come from. Pearl didn't have that much growing up but he always looked at the good things and achieved what he wanted to do. This film also told me to be determined. Even if people criticize you on what you love or tell you that you can't do something, you just need to ignore them and be determined on what you want. A Man Named Pearl made me think about how I am going to live my life. It made me think if I were going to go after my dreams or do what other people want me to do.

The movie taught me that you can accomplish anything if you put your mind to it. Like how Pearl builds his garden starting small, with big results in the end. It also taught me that you shouldn't give up anything that you start.

"A Man Named Pearl" definately depicts that it is possible to live a fulfilling life, in which is based off of doing the things that you enjoy doing. This man has built a sincere character because he finds happiness, and enjoyment in topiaries. This really shows me, that I should capitalize off of the things i know i like to do, and start to formate a fulfilling future in my mind. He has the ability to look past ""what you are supposed to do"" and he makes progress by doing what he wants to do. This is a great inpiration for anyone who wants a great future
