I agreed with the"Creativity Vs. Schools" video. He had some good points about how degrees and schools weren't the only thing that mattered in the real world, and how creativity also plays in important role in success.

Sir Ken Robinson's video has good points when he states "schools killing creativity." I agree that "all children are born artists" and as we grow older, our creativity decreases because i was much more creative when i was younger. I wonder if creativity is more important than education. And if "everyone has an interest in education" then wouldn't education not only destroy but also create creativity?

I did not have very many thoughts on Sir Ken Robinson's video. I didn't really understand what he was trying to say. I was sort of confused on what he was trying to tell us.

it made me think on the comment he made about school "we do not know where we will be in the future but we get educated for the future". so we could be getting educated for the wrong thing?

Sir Ken made a very good point that schools are killing creativity. Schools are making kids do more homework and less drawing skills just destroying the fact that kids need creativity in their lives because some great people came from people letting their dancing ability grow and building tons of studios for kids all around to demonstrate their amazing artistic skills.

I agree with the creativity vs. school video. This video had many agreeable points in it. I believe that school does kill creativity. I wonder why teachers would have such a way of teaching? it sounds like the teachers have no creativity them selves. Not all teachers are this way, some are the most creative people I know today.

I agree with Sir Ken Robinson's video. I think that creativity is just as important as knowledge. Sir Ken Robinson said that creativity is having original ideas that have value. If people never learn to have creativity, then we will eventually run out of new ideas.

When I was watching Sir Ken Robinson it made me think, and believe that creativity is just as important as anything else we study in school. Including the fact that he said mistakes are not always the worst thing. These make me question the way i think about school though, and thinking "do i put creativity into my day?" then i answer myself and say, maybe some days i do, maybe some days i don't. But then again. During school. we do have a bit of everything.

The schools killing creativity video showed me that schools need to not only teach the academics to kids, but they also need to teach kids how to use there imagination. Imagination helps kids to be creative and have a more interesting life. I agree with the video.

i agree with what he was saying because in the video he explains how when we go to school they teach us how to not use our creativity and use what they teach us

I thought that he was right that schools are killing creativity. The story about the dancer was very inspiring becuase they saw that she just had to move and she wasnt stupid she was just a dancer and she grew to be very successful.

In the presentation it states that "School kills creativity", I think this is a correct statement because in English class, instead of writing a prompt that fits you and you can write about, you have to write a boring, old prompt that you have no interest in writing about.

He also talked about how the population has exploded and the technology in today's world is more then anyone has ever even thought about. Are they going to talk about how school kills creativity more seriously?

I believe that Mr. Robinson made a very good point. Schools have cut back on creativity and we need to let students show how unique we can be. Some of us have a great ability to be creative but aren't able to express it. I hope that we can learn from our mistakes and put it back into our education.

In Ken Robinson's video about schools killing creativity I think that he was partially right. For instance in English their are writing assignments that let you free write about what you want to but if you being creative means drawing than you can't be creative.

I totally didn't understand most of it. But the parts that I did understand were correct and were important in our lifes right now.

One quote from Sir Ken Robinson's video went something like this, "If you're not prepared to be wrong, you're not prepared to be creative." I definitely agree with this statement because sometimes in order to be creative you need to make a few mistakes or errors to get to the final product. Some schools do not allow mistakes therefore you can not be as creative.

I agree with the Creativity Vs. Schools video because of the points he made in his speech. Many of the things that he said, I've heard before and it made me agree with him more. He makes a good point on how you "won't succeed" with things like art, which is not true. I completely agree that schools take away creativity.

i think he is right because if you think about it your main subjects are academic and ive never seen a dancing class(like he was talking about) and i have seen people who are terrible at academics but are the best at other things like sports i mean who says gym isent as important as gym.

I believe this is very true and that schools are killing creativity, elsewhere in the world. America has one of the highest invention rates in the world (we have the most patents). however, in eastern Asia, the Japanese, Chinese and Koreans, are discouraged from standing out, it's contradictory to their culture to do so.
However, American schools are killing some creativity, Asians get high test scores because they are taught for the tests, no creativity involved. For some reason America wants to keep up with the Asians. The extracurricular programs are being squashed with the the three R's and science. What he said was true, schools are trying to make university professors. Professors are smart and teach their subject according to a curriculum, no creativity.
thankfully the band, foreign languages, gym and others are still supported.

The movie "schools vs. creativity?" I thought was a very different perspective I've never really thought about. In the movie he explained how by adults people have lost their creativity because of the schools. My understanding was that he was saying that in school they correct the kids from being right and wrong about creativity. really I agree kinda with that but i also thought we go to school to learn more and be more creative.

I think his speach was very eye opening, after the video,I could see how school had been slowly killing our crativity. With everything either being yes or no answer, they were teaching us that creativity is bad. I think creativity is a importand part of life.

Sir Ken Robinson's speech really made me think about how little creativty we have in school. Most kids like to take chances because we are not affride to be wrong; but just like what Sir Ken Robinson said schools dont allow mistakes. "If your not prepared to be wrong. You will never come up with something orignal," i agree with this qoute.
Also what really made me think was when Sir Ken Robinson said, "We dont know what the world is going to be like in 5 years, but we have to be educated for it." This really made me think; how do we know what to study? well we be prepared? what does the future hold? It amases me how we have done this for so many years and have not failed yet.

I agree with the "schools vs. creativity" video. In the video Sir Robinson talks about how schools kill creativity in the students and I believe that schools do that because they assign things that aren’t interesting and I believe that student write there best if they are given an option on what to write ,so then they can use there imagination and be more creative.

I thought that some of what he said was true. I agree when he said the " schools are killing creativity. schools make kids do so much homework and they are not fun or creative.
