i have researched a couple of games and things like that im going to do a review on basically a couple of games and persuade you to which ones are the best for those certain genres of games
So far my idea for position paragraph is going to be on open and concealed carry for hand guns. And after 15 minutes of research i have so far learn about conceal carry and what other people pro and con have to say about it. Such as pro say that it makes them and the people around them feel safer were as con people say that all just should be destroyed and that they only cause violence and hate. My position on the matter is pro gun open and concealed carry.
I have learned a lot about my topic. My topic is why people can join the military at 18 but not drink until they are 21. I dont agree that men and women can die for there country at 18 but they cant have a drink before they go into battle or after they get home. Many people agree with me but many people dont. Many people think that if the drinking age was lowered there would be many more drinking deaths. I agree with this but I think most kids would be smart
During the finding of my research I have found that I wanted to research about Death Penalty. There are articles that show religious believes and the governments believes. There are so many people who are pro and con. The struggle that I have run into is you have to search hard to find people against the death penalty.
THIS IS BAILEY S
I have decided to do my position paper on the industrial food revolution that is happening. For information I have seen several movies addressing the food and health in America these movies include- Food, inc., Food Matters, and America: Obesity at Large. I have seen these movies and plan to do more investigation online and in books that could lead to answers about this revolution.
While researching Illegal Immigration I've learned many things. First, illegals are flooding the U.S. Also, we are giving them jobs and welfare and way to many free things. They come here illegally and get rewarded? I have encountered many frustrations while researching this topic, things like, not being able to find facts and many other things.
So far, I've been struggling with this assignment. It took me a long time to decide on a topic to write about. I considered praying in schools, uniforms and others but I finally decided to write about abuse of circus animals. So far I've read numerous articles online, looked at pictures, and watched some videos.
In my research of Music Censorship I have found that the PMRC (Parent Music Resource Center) had started to protest against the musical lyrics of the 80s. Frank Zappa, John Denver, and Twisted Sisters Dee Snider had all protested against the trial in front of the U.S. Senate. The PMRC wanted to put letters on the CDs that stated what kind of lyrics that were in it O for occult themes, S for sex, D for drugs, V for violence and so on. But instead they put the Parental Advisory sticker on albums that had such content. All of this had formed in 1985. Music advisory had been censored since the 1700s, but not to the point where they started bleeping things out. Most of my research has brought success, but as always there are those moments of frustration where nothing has shown up.
I've decided to do my research on the length of a school year. I found out that at the beginning of each semester students grades start out good and slowly decrease over time. I found a graph showing this and more on EBSCO
I have researched smoking in public places and statistics of smoking/tabacco use. I have only used the subscription sources so far. I found some statistics that gave an interesting point of view on it. The hard thing is that it is hard to think of multiple reasons of pros or cons. There is lots of information on smoking in public places in which I can find many facts and viewpoints.
I have researched many websites about my topic. The conditions in New Orleans from Katrina still have not been great. Lots and lots of money has gone into the education of kids and getting landmarks back but not as much has gone into the building and replacing homes. So much money is spent day to day on useless things and many people dont even think about the still suffering people in New Orleans. On the FEMA website, it states that 3.7 billion dollars has gone into cleaning up the mess, but not into rebulding everything
I have researched the situation and protesting currently in Egypt. I have found a lot on current World news websites, newspapers, and magazines. There are many sources for this topic like: interviews, videos, and documentaries. I think this is my paper topic.
I really would enjoy doing my topic that "Students should not be forced to say the Pledge of Allegiance". I feel that students should not be forced to say the Pledge because not all Americans are free for example gays are not allowed to marry and we are still discriminating against blacks and women. Last night was researching controversy about the topic and I found that a little boy, age 9, would sit down, in a non-harmful manner, during the Pledge was almost suspended because he would not say the Pledge because of the line “Liberty and Justice for all”. There is also a controversy about “Under God” because of the all religion tolerance.
I have researched video game rating and i have used Google for most of my searches. i am going to talk about how many of the games out that are popular that many kids under 17 play all though it is rated M for Mature. i think many of the games should not be rated so high or they should take out the language and violence, but thats the fun of a game.
The topic I am researching is college drinking. In the year of 2007 alone there were 1,700 student deaths, 599,000 students injured, nearly 700,000 violent assaults and 110,000 students arrested on alcohol related offensives. Alcohol is a major problem on college campuses. Fraternities and Sororities are known to be more prevalent with alcohol problems, but even if you aren't in one of those, it is still easy to gain access to alcohol. If you spend a weekend in a college dorm room it would be nearly impossible not to either see a drink, taste a drink, or hear about someone who is going to drink.
I am finding a lot of problems that people have with smoking in public. There have been many attempts to stop smoking through legislation. I keep seeing this problem in other countries, which is frustrating. I do like that there is a lot of facts on this subject though.
what i picked for my topic is the topic of gun control and gun ownership, I have concluded after all the date i found I agree that all people should carry guns if they pass the background check. The data I found so far has shown that the people who have guns and break the law by buying the extended mags are doing it for a bad reason
For my position paper I have a couple ideas. One I have been researching is alternative energy. So far on the subscription sites i have found little information on the topic. However I have found some supporting facts that show we need to start looking at renewable energy. One said that a college saved a ton of money per year, just by having solar panels on it. The other topic I am interested in is very controversial. I am going to do a bit more research on it before considering it more.
i have been researching a couple things such as smoking in public and CSAP testing because i highly disagree with both and still have pick which one yet
I am researching gun ownership. I have been using the Global Issues in context search site for my information. Luckily, my topic has a wealth of information. Also, most of the web pages I have gone to have agreed that people should have all the rights to buy guns and store them. I agree with the right to bear arms, so this has been pretty fun to research. I have not been let down yet. The web pages I have researched have talked about how we should be able to buy and store as many arms as we please. Also, there should be no restrictions on the weapons we buy. I am excited to research my topic.
I am finding out a lot about my position paper topic. My potential topic is the importance of Theatre Arts. I have read interviews and researched some with people on different views. It is interesting finding out different opinions about the arts. With some intelligent opposing and all for reasons to very biased opinions. My frustrations are the few interviews and research ability on the subject.
The first topic I started researching water the clean water problem in Africa. After looking at sites like The Water Project and Global Water, I realized that this topic was very big and hard to write a paper on. During my research I learned that over a billion people world wide do not have access to clean water and that their are many different efforts going on to help this problem all over the world. My second topic that I looked into was the legalization of Marijuana in Colorado. While researching I found many articles in the USA Today and the Denver Post stating positions on both sides. Currently I am thinking that I’m going to do Marijuana in Colorado because it is very specific and there is a lot of information about it all over the web.
While I was looking for a subject to write about I came across a lot of good ones, so I'm not sure yet on what subject I am going to write about. The subjects I am considering are Child Labor, and Drinking at 21. I'm still not sure about what im going to do because i want to make sure i like the subject so its fun to write. I've read many articles on both subjects and have a general idea on what they are both about.

I have done some research on the War in Afghanistan I have hit a few things but am still not sure exactly what I am going to write about in that subject. I don't know whether to write about The US' opinion or whether to write about what exactly the military is doing in Afghanistan.
My potential topic of intrest is the legalization and sale of medical marijuana. I have consulted the Global Issues in Context website under the arapahoe high school subscription databases. I have found a few articles presenting both sides and beliefs on the issue and some that were strictly pro or con. The arguments are, if Colorado legalizes marijuana, there could be certain dangers associated with it just as there is with the sale and distribution of alcohol, and prescription drugs. There is also debate concerning whether it is safer then alcohol or not as well. Some people claim its medicine and helps them live pain-free, while some claim that it is, and has always been a harmful drug that is not good for todays society. This is a topic that has many sides and will be tricky to analyze.
For my position paragraph i was going to write about underage drinking. And of the research that i have done so far. I have found out that 5000 people under 21 die each year a result of underage drinking. Also 3/4 of 12th grades have consumed alcohol, 2/3 of 10th graders, and 2 in every 8th graders have tried alcohol.
I have been researching nuclear energy, I already knew that nuclear energy can be used to generate energy to cities and towns with much less waste than greenhouse gases. I think that if we can find a way to expose of the nuclear energy safely once we are finished using it we should be using it more and more. In my research I found that only one fifth of the energy supply in the US is from nuclear power plants, since using nuclear energy is much cleaner than greenhouse gases, then nuclear energy should be utilized more.
I want to write a position paper on cloning and I've found lots of information on it regarding stem-cell research, the causes of Alzheimer's disease, how to create organs and people. I found most of my information on the Arapahoe subscription services through EBSCO, and Facts on File. I can honestly say that I've found so much information that never knew about cloning, and the fact that not all the articles I've read are about Dolly the cloned sheep.
The idea of a position paragraph seems negative; in my personal opinion. I have decided to write about something more uprising. I have decided to write about the necessity to have an animal in every human life. Why is it important for people to have pets in their life? What can animals do that people can't? Animals cure the mind. Animals can teach a child responsibility, and love. How to love something and care for something. Animals cure the ill, they cure sadness. One gaze upon their face and your mood may change from sad to happy. Animals understand beyond what a human can. They understand when someone is in pain. They are loyal, friendly, and fun. "A man's best friend".
My potential position paper so far is going to be about gun ownership.I have researches the arguments agreeing and disagreeing to this idea. I have encountered yes on gunownership and no on gunownership I am siding with YES to gunownership.
