So far through Act II.iii in Romeo And Juliet, what is your assessment of fate and love regarding the characters Romeo and Juliet? Please respond during class today.
I think that both Romeo and Juliet strongly believe in fate, however i don't. They instantly lock eyes and since this is a mythical story that didn't actually happen, it can be said that it is in FACT... fate. As far as being in love, i think that it includes many things of which you can't say until its over, therefor, there is no love. But once again, it is a story, so its possible.
I honestly think that they didn't exactly fall in love with each other, but more with the idea of falling in love, especially in Romeo's case. They're far, far too young to be so serious about each other, to the point of committing suicide in the event of the other's death. Also, this book only takes place over a few days. It isn't at all realistic to fall deeply in love with someone in that much time.
The assessment of fate and love with Romeo and Juliet is that they have such an breakable love for each other that nothing can tear them apart. They would do anything for each other and do anything to stay together. Like when Romeo went to Juliet's balcony, and expressed his love for her. He risked his life by going there. That shows how they will not let anyone or anything stand in the way from being with each other and being in love.
When Romeo met Juliet, it was love at first sight basically. And throughout the story, even though their groups are hated, they are trying to be together in secret. Its basically fated that they met each other. They love each other so much, even if they are separated.
'Fate' has supposedly led the two young lovers to each other and love is the part that kept them together. Fate orchestrated their meeting and love secured it.
In Romeo and Juliet I believe they met by fate, And that they are rushing into a relationship and need to take it slower and should talk to there parents about the relationship
If I had known Romeo and Juliet when they first fell in love, I might be a little suspicious about their love. If they had just met, then how can they fall in love just by looks? I probably would have thought their fate was not good. Knowing what happens, I think that it is still a little crazy because of the way the seemed to just miraculously fall in love.
I think that my assessment f fate and love regarding Romeo and Juliet is that they have an undying love and together they can push and get through anything because they have such such an unrealistic and unbearable love towards one another that occured when right when they laid eyes upon eachother.
I guess everyone has their own fate and everyone has a different way of finding their love and fate. Romeo and Juliet's fate was love at first sight. I believe we meet everyone for a reason, even if those people aren't around forever they are in our lives for a reason for that short period of time. And in a way I don't think we can help who we fall in love with. If something is meant to be it is just going to be.
I think Romeo and Juliet believe their love to be fate because they met at the dance but I think it was just an accident not fate. I do not think they have been dating long enough to say they are in love. I think they may just be at the honeymoon stage of their relationship because Juliet was talking to herself about how she was going to deny her father and marry Romeo. Most people in that time period would never deny their fathers because they do everything they tell them to do.
I think fate definitely plays a large role in Romeo and Juliet. Everything is perfectly timed down to like seconds. Also, intense love plays a huge role. After only a day of seeing each other, they decide to get married. Like, what are they thinking? They must be MADLY in love.
Fate and Love are clearly shown in Romeo and Juliet because each know that consequences they face in order to fall in love. If both tell their parents, they face the chance of being split apart further more than they already have been. Romeo is going to tell Friar Lawrence about his true love and now they might actually have a chance for their true love. As we know, fate will occur and the two don't get their perfect love story.
In my opinion fate always seems tied to love. It seems that no matter what we do there is always a bit of fate in it. In Romeo and Juliet fate seems to walk hand in hand with the two lovers.
So far, Romeo and Juliet's love and faith are both evident. In the first act you are introduced to how much both of the families don't like each other, but you are also introduced to the power of Romeo and Juliet's feelings for each other. Romeo spends the whole night outside of Juliet's house talking to her. But their fate is evident because Romeo's father isn't happy when Romeo expresses his love for Juliet. Friar Lawrence says to Romeo "Young men's love then lies/ Not truly in their hearts, but in their eyes." Act 2 Scene 3 lines 71-72. There is no belief that enemies could be in love, so fate looks more likely with the two lovers.
guess it is fate that brought Romeo and Juliet together because had they not met, Juliet would have probably had to marry Paris. But the whole star-crossed lovers thing is kind of ridiculous. Either you meet or you don't, either you fall in love or you don't. Does "fate" always have to play such a big role?
Romeo and Juilet falling in love was fate. There were so many factors preventing them from falling in love, but they still did. Although Romeo and Juilet have not know each other for very long, they know they love each other enough to go against what their family believes. It was fate that prevented Romeo and Rosalie from falling in love together and it was fate that brought Romeo and Juilet together.
So far in Romeo and Juliet there has been a lot of fate. I don't think that it is coincidence that Romeo just so happened to to meet Juliet at the party he was originally going to to see Rosaline. although I'm not quite sure if I believe in love at first sight. Romeo and Juliet's love just seems like a complete fake to me. I honestly feel like anything they say to each other isn't exactly to each other, but to their fantasy. they were both looking for a way out of their depressing lives and they ended up finding each other. That I think is fate.
I think that to fall completely in love it takes much more time to truely love this person. It is hard to tell whether you know you love the person or not just by their name and their face. Sure, they may be extremely beautiful or handsome but this does not make you truely in love. To love someone you must actually know who they are as a person, not just their outside appearance. Because of this, I believe that it is neither love or really fate but rather an illusion of love and fate at a first glance.
Fate and love regarding the characters Romeo and Juliet is to me is love, but they don’t even know each other. All they did was look at each other and then a day later they want to marry. Fate to me is not real, things just happen at the right time and she was the one he looks at when they are dancing.
I think fate appears in Romeo and Juliet in a few ways. One of those is that love between a Capulet and Montague was bound to happen eventually and Romeo and Juliet ended up being that couple. I think Romeo confuses love with lust and obsession. To me all Romeo does is use Juliet as a rebound after Rosaline. He comes across as a clingy, mentally unstable romantic and Juliet is so young she doesn't have much life experience or knowledge of the world. Through those attributes they are fated to enter a toxic relationship they incorrectly label as love.
I believe that the fate regarding Romeo and Juliet's love is all because of Romeo's want. He went to the Capulet's ball to try and find who he thought he loved, but instead he found Juliet who he believes in his true, true love. Why they love each other immediately is a different matter, they could be attracted because of looks but they already want to get married. I believe they both wanted love and since they found someone they latched on to eachother.
Romeo and Juliet claim that it is by fate that they met. They believe they we meant for each other. However this is most likely not the case. Romeo told Friar Lawrence about how he's madly in love and in response the friar says that he is not in love he just thinks that Juliet is very attractive. A pretty girl can make a boy do foolish things. Is there such a thing as true love? Well this is either love or Juilet's super hot.
I guess it is fate that brought Romeo and Juliet together because had they not met, Juliet would have probably had to marry Paris. But the whole star-crossed lovers thing is kind of ridiculous. Either you meet or you don't, either you fall in love or you don't. Does "fate" always have to play such a big role?

romeo and juilet have expierenced something that many people will never expierence witch is love at first sight.

I think that the two of them are foolish and going too fast. You can't fall in love with someone until you get to know them.

Romeo and juliet have expeerienced something that not many couples have been through which is love at first sight.
