I noticed that lots of the other prezis had answers similar to my own prezi. These projects help by making us think about and really force us to think about it instead of just reading for the sake of reading it.
They all explain how manzanar was an awful experience.
The ideas stated in these prezi's were specific to the relief of hatred and judgement towards a persons skin color and characteristics. They help show the struggle related to this group and how they eventually overcame this problem.
i noticed that there was alot of hatered toward the japanese. alot of the prezis' were very good.
During the viewing period in class today, I noticed that their were several incomplete prezis and prezis that didn't answer the questions. But most of the classes prezentations were very good and presentable physically.
After looking other people's prezis I noticed that everyone had different and similar views. Either way it describes how Manzanar was awful at times.
I noticed that one group used the same video as us, but other than that they were all different. Mine was a little shorter than others, but also a little longer
I noticed that everybody took the assignment and addressed the questions very similarly, but still in a unique manner. It was awesome to see different perspectives and gather different points of views that can help you build your own point of view on the subject of things like hatred, prejudice, identity, and propaganda even further. All in all, it was a good experience and made me think of the themes in "Farewell to Manzanar" in a new way.
I noticed how these projects were descriptive and had lots of information regarding Manzanar. The project made me think about what the experience was really like.
i noticed that some of the prezis didn't even answer the questions and if they did they all had similar answeres.
Many Prezis had the same ideas as me and that has us start to think about what we said and if it is correct and right and it makes us actually read the prezis to learn more about the book's idea in different and the same perceptions.
I noticed that many people's project's in the room were very similar in many ways. These projects help us realize all of the prejudice and propaganda and bad things there are in the world, and how other peoples insights are on them. BG
When looking at my classmates Prezi's I noticed that there was a lot of mention about her coming home from the camp. I thought that this was interesting because some people focused more on how hard it was for her and others barley mentioned what the transition was really like. For me the transition from camp life to going back to normal society was a major part of the book because it was not just about the actual experience but also it allows the reader to understand the internment camps more. From her transition back into life I was able to understand how separated they were from the rest of the world. I have to say that this was my favorite part of the book because when I was reading about life in the camp I forgot that their were other people outside of the fence. When she works her way back into society the book covers more about how the war effected other people and I really like that.
I noticed that most of the people didn't have the questions in their Prezi so you had to know what they were talking about. The projects (if you knew what they were referencing to) made you think a little bit about what fear can do to a people.
Through looking and working on the project you see how much the Japanese people face and still face today. Overall I thought there wasn't really a lot of good things talked about in the prezis there was a lot of negative. But overall I see what Japanese people went through and am a little more aware of what they had to face.
Some things that I noticed with the prezi projects was that there was a lot about how the government did wrong when they put the Japanese in internment camps. Treating them wrongly when it is said that "justice for all" or "land of the free" its all a lie and was proven with the Japanese.
I noticed how similar the prezis were to each other. I also noticed how each prezi addressed the different propaganda used to discriminate the Japanese. A few prezis also showed how the Japanese were discriminated with the african americans. Overall the prezis all showed the horrible experiences at manzanar.
All the prezi's showed a lot of deep thinking. I could tell everyone took time and effort to do their prezi. I liked all the different ways people answered the questions.
In other peoples prezi projects i noticed that other people incorporated pictures which my group did not do but should have done.
They also either had extremely fluid sentences or very rough choppy sentences. But I found that most groups put in very good details and made you think.
As I viewed the Manzanar Prezi Project created by my peers I noticed the trend that people acknowledged Jeanne’s struggle to accept herself when no one else does. These projects help us rethink hatred prejudice and propaganda by showing and recognizing people can’t change who they are or what they look like. Also, how deeply being hurtful and discriminated towards people who may be “different” can affect them. My peers represented the issue with segregation in their prezi projects.
I noticed different views on the book. Some answered the questions differently then I did and thought differently.
All the prezis had similar answers but very detailed. Most the answers only had the bad things in it but didn't have the fact that she found her identity after the camps.
I noticed that they put a lot of information in each slide and that they know what their talking about. Also they provided background information about the book and about what happened and also they had great slides with good information. I disagree on some of the slides because they're telling the wrong story or they're just making it up to just finish their prezi. This projects help us rethink prejudice because they treat the Japanese badly like how the Americans treated the African Americans. Also the Japanese felt like they weren't part of the Americans because the Americans weren't treating them the same.
i noticed that all of them showed the pain that the Japaneses went though and how hard they have to work just to be put in a camp
