I thought the video showed impact and showed that we need to make a difference in what we do. It shows that we work hard but not hard enough. It showed me that everybody has there one type of way in work. I just need to put my all into work and show my work. It was an inspiring video and very cool. IT showed me that school and be hard but if you do your best it will work out in the end just fine and you will be proud of your work that what the video showed me.
This video is very interesting and made me think a lot about education throughout the world. First, the statistic that China and India have more honor students than we have students. This made me rethink how much the United States values and encourages education, and also another student mentioned that we have more technology, but the poorer countries seem to do better. Also, it is strange to think that we are preparing students for jobs, technology, and problems that don’t exist yet. It is also crazy to realize that I can’t imagine a world without the Internet, but it is quite a new invention.
I was surprised by many of the statistics, and I think that this video proves the frighteningly rapid spread of technology and advancement of the human race. The video did not seem to particularly enforce the idea that these changes were good or bad, if it did, I didn't notice, but I think it is safe to say that not all of these things are good, at least not at the speed they are going. It may make life more convenient, but that isn't always a great thing..
The “2016 Did you know?” video made me think about how controlling it is to collect and analyze data around us. Our generation is being brought up into a controlled society where nothing is private. The government has access to all of our social media accounts, high school grades, where we grew up, what pets we had in our childhood. Their is a very limited amount of personal data that the government cannot track. I do believe it is important for the government to have access to criminal records, job records, and school records. But I do not think that the government should be tracking our every move. It also made me think about how social media has taken over a majority of our society. In the video it had said that Facebook has enough people it could make a new country bigger than the United States and Mexico combined. One in six couples that have gotten married have met on the internet. As we grow up in this world of Snapchat, Facebook and Match.com; we are slowly slipping away from actual human contact. We are losing the ability to show everyday emotion.
The presentation showed me how so many things are happening in our world at once. who knew there were so many people who are exactly like you, or that by 2050 there will be 10 billion people on earth? I learned that by 2020 74 billion devices will be connected to the internet, and If face book was a country it would be the largest one! the fact that China has more honor kids than we have kids in general shows the differences in education around the world. For the first time, 4 generations of people are working side-by-side. This presentation taught me a lot about what is going on in this world, and a bunch of cool facts that you didn't know before.
The presentation made me think of how much the world is changing. This made me think about how my parents always told me that back in the day when they were young, it was a completely different world back then. I now realize that the internet has become way more large and advanced now and keeps getting more and more complex. I truly beleive that the world is bigger than we imagine. The fact that there will be 10 billion people by 2050 is nerve-wracking. Imagine how many people will change the world, become a serial killer or grow up to do amazing things? I think that this will impact my academics because most of the stuff I'm learning now will be outdated or unnescesary by the time I'm a senior. Academics will become harder and harder as I grow up and the cirriculum will become more tecnology-based and modernized.
Many people when they saw this video thought about how much our world is growing or how much technology has advanced but instead of finding the statistics surprising or exciting, I found them overwhelming. I thought of how there are thousands of people like me reaching for the same goals some of them won't succeed and other will. I found that this just means I have to work harder to get there and that maybe I shouldn't try but just the chance that I could reach my goal whether it be slim or staggeringly large I will still try my hardest. My first thought when I realized this was why try in academics if all my work goes to waste, but to achieve my goals I need to change my perception on this situation instead of being negative I should be positive, work harder, think of how far I have come to reach my goal, make smaller goals that lead to a bigger picture. I know I will reach my goals if I put more work than the average person into it. But there will always be that question in my mind "Is it worth it? Is it worth working so hard when we will all disappear one day? Maybe being remembered, or maybe being forgotten and being another typical nine to five working man or woman." I may not know much but I do know one thing and thats, I want to make my mark on the world hopefully though the universe.
This video really made me think about the future and how much everything is changing. It was almost crazy some of the stats that were given. The fact that surprised me the most was the one where it said that there will be a computer that will have more computing power than the entire human race combined. This will definitely affect my academics, I am going to try and study harder and get the best grades possible. After a few of the facts that were given it made me worried about my future job. I am going to try harder overall and make the best out of every class period.
This presentation made me realize how America is really falling behind with their education. This made me think that if an American kid and an Indian kid are competing for the same job, than than the child from India, would more likely get the job. This made me think that America needs to change their education for the jobs that their kids will use in the future. This made me think that there are a lot more kids better than me, and that I need to “step up my game” in order to get a job that I want.
Man the DID YOU KNOW 2016 gave me a lot of interesting ideas and facts that I didn't even think about at all. I mean the fact that China has 25% of the worlds highest IQ'S and the fact that that itself is more then the whole population of America means that this generation and the generation after that and after that need to focus more on education because just a few people from china are more than America. There are a lot of people in this world and now I actually know why there are 60 babies being born in the U.S in the course of 7 min, 244 babies in china, and 351 babies in India I mean that is a crazy about of babies for 7 min. The job market is increasing and with that the fact that I will have 10-14 jobs by the time I am 38 is crazy.
This video made me really have to think about how big the world is. It's crazy how many people are in the world and all the other things. Things like self driving cars are already rapidly growing. The video just proves how fast the world is growing, expanding, and advancing. The population will be about ten billion by 2030 and we are teaching for jobs that don't exist yet. It just shows thatwe might be growing faster than we can handle.

After I watched the 2016 Did You Know? Presentation, I was amazed at all of the different statistics and predictions. I thought it was interesting how teachers are preparing us for jobs that don't even exist. I also think that it is crazy that self-driving cars will be on the road by the time I graduate high school. This video impacts my academic views because even though I don't know what I want to do with my life or what job I want, it's not a huge deal because it might not even exist yet.
After the presentation this has showed me a different view of the world a view that there are many people out in the world that have the same personality as me and have less chances of success but have better test scores. This tells me that is there is more of a drive for success in other parts of the world and even known the people don't seem to have much of a chance, they have better results over all that the other people with more opportunities in the world. Also this changed my view on academics that even known that it may not seem like you have a lot of time to accomplish something but you have to make most of what you have.
This video made think about how much the world is changing and advancing. In China and India they have more honor kids than we have kids. That says a lot right there. We could be working harder and doing better with what we learn in school. In no time at all so much can happen around the world. Hundreds of babies are born in a matter of minutes. The video said that by 2050 there will be 10 billion people living on the earth and students are being taught things for jobs that do not even exist yet. This video made me think that so many countries are advanced in academics and education that I really need to work hard and make sure I do well in order to get the kinds of jobs I want as an adult.
This video made me realise just how much the world is changing. When the video talked about all of the stats it made me think about how much goes on all over the world with social media and some of the other things they talked about. This will make me think how technology will be different when I start college and then the next 20,30,or 100 years after that. It also made me think just how crazy the human race is since they can keep creating new things that can help improve this planet for the better. We are the people who are going to help grow this success one day and keep evolving the technology to find out great discoveries for this world.
The presentation made me think about how strange life can be and how strange life is. I also learned that life is a little different in different countries and that those statistics based off of that fact kinda scares me. I can’t believe that right now there is four generations of people working alongside each other and that they all had different ways of communicating. This presentation makes me want to work hard on my school work so that the United States as a whole can have even the slightest of change to the percentage of honorable students. Overall my view of the world has changed even if I knew some of the facts in the presentation some of the information I learned was jaw dropping.
The video Did You Know 2016 really made me think about how much our population is expanding, and it kind of made me worried if our planet could sustain such an enormous population. But, I do think that it will affect my academics because it said that china would have all the geniuses or something. That makes me want to do better in class to help america be all geniuses.
The presentation made me think of how crazy the world is getting. It makes me think what will the world be like in a few years. Will the earth be able to sustain itself? or will it become over populated. It also makes me thin about how many students there will be. This makes me want to be the best because there will be a lot of competition foe college and it makes me want to get all A's so I can get into the Air Force Academy.
Watching the "Did You Know 2016" video made me realize and understand how much big or little things the we do effect us and the society. It also made me realize how different and unique everyone is and how even though we all have our different opinions and disagreements we can all come together is one simple way and connect with each other.
After I watched that video I thought a lot about how the education here is different form the education in other places. In other places they don't even have the same amount of resources to teach there students. Also I thought it was very crazy how India has more honor students than we have students. And this made me think I have to work harder than I usually do because there as so many smart people in the world who work very hard to be something.
