Humanity's progress is not good. Their first two missions where failures. The first mission failed and on the second mission, there whole crew died. This makes me wonder whether or not colonizing Mars is that good of an idea. Would it be worth it trying to get to another planet, or would fixing earth be good enough? How will the humans understand these natives and the barriers between them if their crew keeps getting killed by them?

What I am contemplating about The Martian Chronicles so far if the fact that the humans and the Martians have not gotten along so well so far. They seem to be thinking that the humans are there to imperialize, when all they want is a new home. Humanity has changed a bit, giving that they live on Mars now and thats a different climate and lifestyle. The reading of these stories make me consider how hostile the martians are and how the are going to live in harmony.

The humans haven't gotten very far in terms of progress. The first two expeditions went poorly and they only reached Mars, didn't get very much farther. It always seems to take a few times to finally reach your goal though, so I think the humans will reach Mars and start to inhabit it. Humans will kick the aliens out of their home planet and eventually take over.

I wonder if a human captain from Earth would really behave the way he did upon landing on Mars to discover the civilisation on it. He seems to be acting in a way that a man assigned as captain of an interplanetary expedition ship definitely should not and would not.

I think that in The Martian Chronicles by Ray Bradbury humanity has gone backward, and some people are trying to make humanity start over by going to Mars. It makes me consider if that will actually happen in real life due to pollution or something like that.

I believe that the only progress the humans have made is there penological advancements. They were able to make it to Mars alive and now that they are here the Martians are being stubborn and won't give the humans a lot of information that they can report back to Earth. However they have learned that the martians can use telepathy so they can communicate with the humans. At first the believed that the Martians could speaker English but truthfully they were thinking and could tell what the humans were thinking.

I feel when the men reached Mars, they were not even thinking these people could have come from another world, and just dismissed the idea right away. The reader has to consider the martian's point of view and realise how crazy this would be to have another species on their planet. I believe eventually they will come to the realisation that they are from Earth and act out some way. Although I'm wondering what the other astronauts are going to do since their captain was shot.

While reading The Martian Chronicles I am not questioning or thinking about as much in the story as I thought I would be. With the questions that I do have I am contemplating about I am wondering if it is worth trying to fix earth. With their first two missions failing and their crew dying in the second mission, I am thinking about how many more failures they are going to have and if they would rather save their people or lose people and get to earth.

in the Martian Chronicles humanity is very intelligent because the fact that they were able to build a rocket that worked and could travel thousands of miles. But in the story the men were very arrogant and expected the Martians to praise them because of their amazing voyage. The reading makes you consider many things such as why do the Martians think that the captain has a mental illness. It makes me wonder if there was life on mars would they act the way they do in the book.

The story "The Martian Chronicles" makes me think the human progress in the book is going well that they can travel to other planets and communicate with the people on them. What is not going well is what happens when humans get to mars they can't survive the people that are there. It makes me believe that humans have and will go a long way in technology, but however far they make it there is still more to do. Both mission one and two failed in "The Martian Chronicles" so they can obviously improve. The reason mission two didn't go better than one is because they died before they could report anything. None of the humans from Earth lived to tell what happened, therefore they don't know how to improve on the technology.

The humans that are trying to take over the planet seem to be terrorists. It seems as if they don't care what happens to the Marshans as long as everything goes their way. This changes my idea of an alien invasion if it were to happen to our planet because the humans described in this book make me realize that we as humans may think and act differently than the aliens and that we are shadowing the way we would invade another planet and not the way the aliens would.

In the book so far there have been two expeditions to come to Mars, both have ended horribly and the humans coming to Mars have been treated very poorly, and in the end they never come back. The progress has been nothing, the humans have not gotten very far at all, the Martians seem to treat them like they are not even there. The challenges that the humans might face to get some progress is to go forcefully and not treat the Martians some kindly when the third expedition is sent out.

So far the humans have not made a lot of progress, thee crew keeps getting killed by the Martians and they have not stopped trying. The captain and his crew just want some information of the Martians and they will not give it to them. I am wondering if they should continue trying or not.

In "The Martian Chronicles", Humanity seems to not be doing very well on mars, because the martians won't believe what they say. When the captain of the ship tells the martians that his crew and himself are from earth, and built the rocket, the martians throw them in an insane asylum. The Humans aren't progressing because the martians think the captain is just an insane martian, who is hallucinating a crew and a ship. Because the martians don't believe them, they are eventually killed, and are to never return to earth. These stories make me consider how martians don't seem to believe whatsoever in earth or humans in general.

So far in the 31 pages we have read of The Martian Chronicles, I think that the humans have not made much progress. The first expedition to Mars went missing and no one heard from them again. The second expedition got to Mars, but the Martians believed that they were hallucinating and creating images with their mind. A Martian called Mr. Xxx ends up killing the captain, the crew, and himself in order to “make them go away,”.

In the story Martian Chronicles by Ray Bradbury, there are martians and later in the story humans from earth come in. The story is about a husband and wife that live together on mars .In my opinion I think the humans have gotten far in terms of progress. They at first only reached mars and over time they didnt get very much farther. But with me it takes at least a couple tries to get to my goal.I think that the humans may try to take over because aperantley that's what we like to do on Earth

I feel like humanity has gone forward in progress, but not enough to send a lot of astronauts to mars. Because if the people there were hostile then what would a small crew do. The way the Martians acted towards the humans made me think what would we do. If a man that looked like us and talked like us and said he came from another planet, we would most likely put him in an insane asylum. But my questions are what are the astronauts going to do, Are they going to leave? Are they going to stay and figure things out?

So far in Bradbury's, The Martian Chronicles, the humans have not had good progress and things aren't going well for them. Nobody knew what happened to the first crew that traveled to Mars, but the second crew was taken to an insane asylum. All of the Martians believed the Earthmen were hallucinating and passing the hallucinations on to them. This is when one of the Martians decided to kill the captain the get rid of the hypnotic suggestions, but it didn't work so he killed the rest of the crew and later killed himself. This makes me wonder if Earth will send more people because they don't know what happened to crew #1 and now, crew #2.
