I think this poem is to tell people to be part of the world they are in. The tone is very dire, as if almost a plea for humanity to change. He used modern day things such as facebook, but changed it to anti social network rather than social network. He also used irony such as smiling when you have a low battery.

I noticed how the poem started with an interesting fact. He uses a lot of rhymes and also uses more facts. He states that our devices do everything for us and that we should do things ourselves. He realized that he was into his phone too much when he started to use too many abbreviations. He really made the viewer think and question about humanity.

The message this poem is getting across is that Social Media, phones, and other technology is taking away from the face-to-face contact and time that people spend with each other. When he speaks he sounds distressed because all anyone ever cares about nowadays is their phone battery percentage, getting likes and comments on the pictures that they post.

He shows the inspiration of socialize face to face and not be on electronics. He wants to tell the world that we consume more of the electronics, and we must face the facts of having the capabilities.

This is talking about how more and more people are in a way wasting away their lives by being on their phones when they could be out with real people who care about them. People need to stop judging themselves by social media status when the people who care about you are being ignored. I don't think you need to completely stop with that, but limit online interaction so you can spend more time with people in person and stop living your life being judged by people you don't know or interact with very often.

It began as slam poetry, with little rhymes but turned into a full on rap as his message got stronger. He talked about how the world is disconnected because we are so immersed in our phones to realize what is going on around us. His meaning gets deeper and deeper as he begins to talk more emotionally, bringing up things like not taking pictures of a moment and actually living it and basing self-worth on amount of followers or likes or retweets. It makes me think, is life worth all of these o moments shared on Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram and Vine?

The poem tells about the way that people look more towards social media and does not connect with people around them. That people had less common sense with the fact that they keep looking at there phones and don't look for people that care about them. And that people should connect more with others and less with there phones and social media.

The author of the poem "Can we auto-correct humanity" uses rhythmic ways of speaking o she the tone of his poem. His tone is stressed and frustrated on how humanity has changed for the worst. Humanity is so focused on the amount of likes and the way what they post looks. When it really shouldn't matter. When did social media become a competition of who can post a better picture or who can get the most likes or even comments. This poem made me realize how many of us in the world, this state, even this school could be so much more social with each other.

I think that this poem was made to show us that the world that we live in is becoming very virtual and that with that we are destroying relationships with people that really love us and care for us just by staring a a device and talking with other people around the globe.

I am thinking that the poems message is to spend time with people instead of looking at our phones. I agree with this because many things revolve around phones. The poems tone was hopeless. The theme was to connect more face to face.

One of the most interesting ideas that he brought up was how there may be a number of friends you have on social media, but it doesn't compare to the number of friends you have in reality. He said that he wanted to spend time with his friend and talk, and his friend asked when they should facetime. I agree with him that we are involved in our technolagy and portraying ourselves to fit the social standards that the internet creates, but i do think that we need self realization. Realization on whether we would rather laugh at a photo we are sent or laugh about the memories we make.

I noticed that he used a lot of rhyme sounding words, along with pauses in between each one of his phrases. He also used a tone of inevitability, like there was no way to escape the internet and technology. But at the end his tone changed to more hopeful, and sounded very inspiring. This makes me think that the poem is trying to get everyone off their phones to connect with poeple.

The poem "Can I Auto-Correct Humanity", Has a message that tells us: We spend to much time on technology, and not enough time really living our lives. The poem says that the average person spends 4 years of their lives looking down on their phone. The author shows us how humans are loosing their humanity, and we need to stop it. The author tells us that we need to spend more time in real life than in a virtual one, and enjoy it without having to snap a picture or take a video.

This message is about how people need to get off their cell phone and to experience life. That people have become more selfish than before and all of social media is controlling how people view life. Or how they react towards it. That everyone shouldn't continuously be checking their phones and that they shouldn't feel the need to. The message is that people should live their lives and to not be so consumed with the idea that social media is a necessity, or that their phone is a necessity. The tone of this is supposed to be inspiring and it is meant to inspire the viewer to live life and to go through it not attached to their phones.

The spoken word poem was about how today’s technology are making people less social and decreasing the amount of actual human interaction through our phones and social media. How Facebook makes us less connected and Vine decreased our attention spans. He used a lot of consecutive rhyming, similar to an AABBCC pattern. The tone seemed urgent and desperate for everyone to understand the side effects than technology can have.

The message of this song was the people need to disconnect themselves more. Everyone is so wrapped up it social media and and the internet that we don't appreciate each other company as much. The tone was sad and mad because people think about likes, comments and followers more than interacting with people which is frustrating. The theme was that people should be on phones and computers less.

I think this poem is telling somebody that they should spend more time off of their phones because they will miss things. The poem has irony in it such as saying that you should be happy when your phone is dying or when it's dead. I think him saying that facebook is an anti-social network is true because it pulls people away from actually socializing with friends.

In this spoken word type thing, the words are often more minimalised to allow the rhythm to support the tone of the poem with only a couple of words in between each pause, perhaps allowing the words to sink in more. It is difficult to detect some poetic devices when one isn't reading the poem themselves.

Can We Auto-Correct Humanity uses rhythm to create fluidity. There are some moments with rhymes, many times of two differents messages, trying to prove the point of how our technology separates us. Along with all of this, there are many similes and metaphors relating to social media networks and some more about how we are all drifting apart.

I think that he is bringing up good points but people do get connected from the internet. A lot of people are beginning to form relationships more with people out of there state or country. I think its making us more aware of what is happening around the world. Also people are starting be more aware and are learning new things. There are apps you can get too and talk to people from different countries that speak different languages too. They can either help you or you help them or you can help each other. So I don´t really have a side im in the middle.

I noticed that the theme of the video was that technology is becoming to much apart of our lives. He was trying to deliver the message that we should all spend less time apart from each other and that technology is making us less social. The poetic devices I saw him use where the rhyme schemes because he would have two of the same rhyme and then go onto another two words with the same rhyme.

I was absent when this was assigned.

I believe the main idea of the video was that technology is a bigger part of our live than other people are. The message I believe that was trying to be relayed is that we should to try to be more aware of the people are us and try to have more human interactions with one another to be able to reconnect with humanity. some of the poetic device I saw come up the most would have to be rhymes because that was very consistent throughout the poem.
