I really enjoy writing persuasive essays, I have also learned a lot about my writing and where my strengths are. Using good resources such as easybib and writing reviser help me a lot and I will continue to use these resources as I write more papers throughout my education. By looking back at my past writing I see that I have improved on my vocabulary and word choice. I now am much more aware of plagiarism and the penalties that follow, citing sources and giving credit is very important.

I was able to go deeper with the quotes and have a better understanding of the topic through the research we did before we started writing. Going more in depth with explaining what we were writing about had a big effect rather than the begging of semester when I didn't go further to explain what I was talking about. I was also able to see the different parts of the paper in more detail going through the paper step by step.

Through constructing the Change the World paper, I have learned a lot about writing a persuasive essay. I have learned about quotations, format of the paper, word choice, punctuation, etc. I learned that evidence is really important and how to lead in quotations so that it flows in the essay. I have improved my word choice, structure, and finding good quotations.

I think i've gotten better at persuasive writing and piecing togeather my paragraphs. I'll continue to use an organized paragraph format in the future. The main differences I see from my persuasive writing between then and now is that I don't use as many run-on scentances and/or repeated themes in my paragraphs. Overall, I have improved in my persuasive writing.

Persuasive writing has an interesting satisfaction to it. Writing your opinion hoping to sway someone's opinion gives you the power of reason and intelligence to prove a point. When I look at my pieces of writing from the past, I used many examples of intellectual speak and reason to prove my point.

After working on the Changing the World Paper I have discovered many different aspects to help write an argumentative paper. I think it is important to back up your knowledge with somebody else's. Weather it be wth quotes or if its with someone you knows own words. As I begin to look back at my past persuasive writing I believe I have improved dramatically. For example In our writing assessment Practice about off campus being taken away, I used persuasive points that weren't just generalized towards myself and my own options I used how I thought other students would react as well.

The one thing I really learned how to do is use other's writing as a resource beyond knowing how to cite it and being able to organise my thoughts and other people's thoughts to give as much information as possible. One area I think I specifically improved in was just my writing flow. I see that I droned on in the case of the assessment practice but my CTW paper is more fluid.

I think writing persuasively isn't really useful, I say it's all in your ability to do what ever you can or show. I can use my organisation and my research skills. My second one is worse then my first, I didn't really care, I used more sources, and word choice is bad in my second.

One strategy I will try to incorporate more into my writing is making a plan or outline, a skeletal structure so that I know what I need to write about, I just need to add commentary. I also want to use quotes better and more often in persuasive writing, with leads ins and extensive commentary on their significance. Regarding my persuasive writing from earlier in the year, I didn’t make a very detailed plan or have quotes to commentate on to extend my argument. I also did not incorporate the opposing side very well, only briefly mentioning then immediately going over it in about two sentences. In my most recent essay, I made an extensive outline with specific quotes and points of view that would create the outline of my paper. I also used the opposing argument to support my point of view much more often, with two to three sentences and a quote per body paragraph.

Writing persuasively is simple and complicated. Simple strategies are to have both sides of the topic and to find supporting evidence, easybib as well. I have used more quotes now then I did. Also I have stronger support my claim that I am proving, also I get better information by researching and knowledge.

I have mostly learned how to use other resources and quotes to back up my claims while persuasively writing. I can use research to help me prove points. I also learned how to make my writing sound more formal by eliminating passive voice verbs and boring words. That also helps when writing sentences that are not fragments or run on sentences. Overall I have learned to make my writing sound more official with word choice and sentence structure.

I think my persuasive essay writing skills have grown tremendously. I think my beginning paper was good, but there was room for improvement. This CTW essay has helped me understand the importance of writing persuasive essays. If written correctly, persuasive essays can a have a major impact on the world around us. Persuasive writing can be combined with other skills such as psychology and science as well as math to be used in real world applications. I greatly improved in my thesis, evidence, quotes, and creative thinking as well as my outline.

I have been shown how to find more research that could shows more evidence that could be used in many different ways. I had also learned that thinking more critically could show the proficiency of work and effort that you put in an essay can benefit you by getting a higher grade.

I think persuasive writing is growing on me. I will continue to use examples to back up my argument. My essays were short and to the point with no evidence. But now I feel my essays are are intellectual and provide better explanations.

I would like to improve upon my word choice so I have enhanced and more interesting paragraphs. I was able to improve upon my writing structure and thesis statement technicalities. I think that I should still work on paying attention to smaller details. It is also important the I focus on ending strong and making sure that my point is backed up with supporting and valid points. I am still working on eliminating passive voice verbs and personal pronouns.

There are many different strategies and methods we used to complete this essay which I will definitely use in the future. The persuasive writing we did taught me a lot. Some of the strongest parts of the essay that I learned about was the thesis statement, quotations, and using the outline. I think that I have improved in my writing by knowing what to write and how to structure it. The outline was one of the biggest aids for me while writing this essay. It gave me a base for my writing and i could build the paper up from there.

I like persuasive Essays because it's when I am able to really get my opinion out there. It lets me show my side of the argument as well as the other side. In future Persuasive Essays I will use a lot better Ethos, Pathos, and Logos. I will also remember to use better word choice and how to craft a better thesis. Looking back on my older essays I can see that back then I wasn't showing the other sides of the argument and that I didn't back up my persuasion with Ethos, Pathos, and Logos.

I have found that my strength in writing lies in persuasive and argumentative essays, including word choice, phrasing, and creating and defending a stance. I have improved with presenting the valid arguments of the other side, and proving why my way is potentially better. I also have held back a little bit more on personal knowledge, and instead used more evidence and sources alongside my own experience to argue.

I was very persuasive because I had an opinion that I felt dependent on voicing and I felt as if I worded the essay accordingly than people would be able to see the argument my way and choose to see that people could change the world by doing what I had described in my paper. I could have added a little more detail to the essay and find more detailed equations, but overall I think I completed a good paper.

I'm not a huge fan of writing persuasive essays, but overall I'm not very excited about writing in general. However I have learned many new techniques and strategies for writing long pieces, such as more compound sentences and semi-colon's. I have also noticed a huge difference in quality from the beginning of the year. My papers sound articulate and mature compared to my first papers. I am also noticing that as I read more and more difficult or older books I pick up new word and phrases to use.

I like persuasive essays because you get your point across the audience. I like the resource writing reviser and I would use it in some future writings. I've grown a lot since the beginning of the semester and I have become more aware of my word choices and spelling. I'm also more aware of plagiarism and not completely repeating what somebody said and changing the wording up.
