In the martian chronicles, they still use older words from the 1950's in the 2000's. They didn't mention any kind of electronics so the author must not have thought we would have any of that nowdays. They also don't mention nearly any kind of technology and today we have so much of that.

I think that the author gave humanity too much credit. We still haven't got to mars which is controversial. Along with There's no proof aliens exist and no proof they don't. This is still interesting and makes for a good read for those who are into this time of stories.

After reading some articles and the Martian Chronicles, I have a new perspective on technology. When this book was written, we knew relatively very little. Now, we have a lot of new advancements that are very close to become affordable, and expanding. We have had many talks about colonizing Mars, and there is a lot of controversy. Some people think it is inevitable. Others think that we need to clean up our planet. Some just think that we flat out can’t do it.

As new faces go through the technology and science fields, we come out with newer and better technology. As of now we are trying to find a way to get to mars. But we know that Mars isn't a place that can cold life so are we evolving or using technology to be able to survive even though the book is showing this happening in 2002. New technology coming out may get us there and even allow us to survive there but moving back and forth would be expensive and not practical since it would take about 39 days to get their.

in the marination cranicils people have to invent all the technology again and things like that the fact that we have knowledge is all we really need. we may have just thought that there would be space adventure and things like that due to the fact that space was one of the most unexplored tairatorys at this time it was written for one of those reasons.

I am fascinated by how much technology is currently in our world and how much is yet to come. It has changed a lot since 1950 when the Martian Chronicles was written. If we went to Mars today, it would be very different from if we went back then. It’s actually kind of scary when you think about how complex technology will be in just 20 years. Robots will take our jobs and control our lives. Earth will probably look like it did in the movie Wall-e where everyone is laying around and robots are doing everything for us.

I think that people were able to explore more in the novel back then, such as Mars, because there was no technology. There was no technology distracting them. They were more outgoing, and willing to go out there, and uncover things. Now, we have technology that can go out there for us. We already have a rover on Mars, and we have been trying to gain information on Mars to maybe settle there, or even just learn more about it. Now, people are building robots that people from the 1950's to the 1990's wouldn't even imagine.

What I think about technology is that technology is rapidly advancing in many different ways, and this is good and bad. It is good because robots can do numerous new things that humans can not do, and they can be more precise in doing this. In the Martian Chronicles, the technology present in that time would not be as advanced as the technology in the present day, and in the future. With more advancements of technology, robots will be able to increase the number of things that we can do in the future. Although there are many pros of technology, some advancements may be bad. For example, the increase in the number of robots will possibly create a lack of creativity and from humans, for what is the point of doing anything if robots can just do it for us?

We have so much technology that we don't really need to tech about the new technology so by the time that we learn about all of the technology now it will be out dated to the point where is won't even matter what we learned. Now words on the other hand we don't change around words all the time so we still use the same words from the 1950's because it can't really go outdated.

I think that our world may be getting a little TOO much technology involved. I understand advanced phones, cars, and spunky little gadget inventions, but creating robots modeled after humans?? Robots possibly thinking like humans? That is a little out of hand. I think this just shows that our society is getting very lazy, because now I guess people need robots to do house chores. These robots aren't being created to do totally amazing things, they are just doing everyday activities that the owner somehow is too lazy to accomplish. In the book The Martian Chronicles, there are not human robots, or pollinating robots, there are less advanced things. And in my opinion, we do not need all of the crazy advanced toys, we just need each other.

Our technology is constantly growing. In many years, robots could become much smarter and start doing tasks for us; some already are. Like the fact from the other video we blogged on, someone going to college for something technology related will have learned outdated information within 2 years. I think that we definitely should expand to other planets, but it takes a lot of technology, time, and effort. I think that Ray Bradbury had a bit of a different idea on our technology and how our technology will advance when he wrote The Martian Chronicles. We probably won't have everything on Mars that we have on Earth, but we're already planning on sending people to Mars. I think our understanding of the world today is that we're modern. We have great technology and we advance constantly; but eventually we'll die off, due to certain things like global warming and pollution. Our understanding of the universe today is that it's vast, and large. The average human doesn't have the lifespan to travel far in the galaxy. Space travel takes quite a bit of time. On the other hand, we could have robots explore the galaxy for us. Robots could get out of hand though, like a dystopian story that visualizes a reality like that.

After reading the headlines to articles on Popular Science, I think that the stories in The Martian Chronicles are almost too good to be true. I think the author, Ray Bradbury, thought that we would be living on Mars, and have all of Earth on Mars, but even though our technology is advancing, I don’t think we will be able to live on mrs or have all of Earth’s things on Mars anytime soon. We have so many expectations of future technology and we have high expectations of what we will be able to do in the near future, and what robots and technology with be able to do, and I think we are getting a little ahead of ourselves. Yes we have come so far with technology and we know so much more about our world and universe, but all of the predictions, like robots growing transplant organs, seems a little unreasonable unless we are already starting those projects and know they are achievable.

After skimming through some of the headlines, I think that that some of these ideas are too far off. Humans haven't even gotten to mars, and were already trying to find ways to live there. Secondly, we don't have proof that aliens exist, and it would take years to get to mars. I think that everyone living on earth wont want to go there because they are simply too comfortable on earth. We have high hopes for technology, but will we ever get there? when will finally out do our resources?

I’m thinking that this story was written in the 1950’s so they had little knowledge of technology. Yet they somehow could predict technology accurately and realistically to what we can do today. In fact, today we are very advanced. People on this blog were saying that technology might be getting out of hand, but I say the more the better. A place with more technology will be a successful place. Less errors will occur in our world, and without doubt they won’t be able to overtake humanity. Also, it will create jobs. Yeah sure it will replace those jobs like cashier at McDonald’s. But the robot industry will expand, employing more people to innovate new robots and more technology. More technology will revolutionize the world, and it already is revolutionizing us. It’s American industrialization, part 2.

I feel like we just continue to improve and there will never be an end to it. In 2095 I think there will be things we can't even imagine now, but those things will seem normal to people born in that generation. I believe that we have only discovered around 0.0094% of what there is in total to discover. The Martian Chronicles are an interesting way to describe what life would be like if we went to mars. And it makes you think about what technology we will have by the time we get there.

I think that technology is very good in some ways and very bad in others. For example, people are making robots to do dangerous jobs that humans die from everyday, like firefighting. I think Martian Chronicles is a interesting book so far. The author makes it seem that aliens are real which is cool. I think our present day understanding of the earth and the universe is very bad. We don't understand anything more than earth really. Mars has been explored a few times by rovers, but never by humans.

After reading the about recent technology development within Popular Science, I was able to realize how technology plays an extreme part in the advancement of our world. The article “This soft robot hugs your hurt to keep it pumping,” explains how heart failure costs the nation around $32 billion a year. With such a high costs, technology allows the world to save lives and save money. On the other hand, the world may be getting too involved with technology. People are creating robots that are programmed to basically think/act the way humans do. Programming robots to do tasks that humans regularly do shows how lazy our society is becoming. I believe creating robots that can do tasks such as cleaning the house, are very innovative, but could potentially be worse for society than better. I believe the book "The Martian Chronicals," will help teach me how technology is affecting our world today.

After reading about all the new technology in the world it is cool and can also be quite scary thinking about the fact "new intelligent" can take over. New technology can be good for helping develop a better and cleaner society, but it can also be a pain to most. This is because it cost tons of money and can make America go into debt if we do decide to mass produce this new technology often. Also, if the new technology does the task most average day citizens do, it will take our jobs resulting in poverty, etc.

In the Maritain Chronicles it is clear that they have very advanced tech for 1999, however the tech might be equal to our modern day technology. It is pretty amazing that we have such amazing tech like HD TV and cell phones, which compared to even just 10 years ago, we are extremely advanced from back then. This current generation is truly lucky that we got all of this amazing tech.

Are technology might be advance, but so is that martians technology. It is truly amazing of all the things were growing from, we have invented things that can fly. Things that can do stuff for us. Martians have a different way to do things with technology.
