Imperialism relates to the martian Chronicles because of the peoples output on what they are doing. For example American's during the time of imperialism was a need to expand the U.S and we needed to control more land. In the martian Chronicles the American's are determined to colonize mars even if it means defeating the martians.

Typically imperialism is happening because a bigger or more modern place wants something out of a smaller or less developed place. As well as to prove masculinity and America/Earth wants to do that with Mars and just prove how strong we are that we can make our way to Mars and take over. They obviously wouldn't want us to which made us want to annex it even more. This team in the book wants to be appreciated for making it to Mars but no one really wants to be under control of someone else. There will always be the possibility that properties will be destroyed or something will happen and in the book, looking forward, it seems as though when we try to gain territory on Mars we get rid of martians.

The Crash Course imperialism video makes me think about The Martian Chronicles because in The Martian Chronicles, the humans imperialized and colonized. They may have had issues with the people they're talking over, like seen in history. Another similarity between the video and The Martian Chronicles is failing when trying to expand, or conflict begins when we try to expand overseas; or in The Martian Chronicles, to other planets. Bradbury addresses imperialism by showing how the humans repeatedly fail to annex or take over another area from the people who live there and how conflict can be created. Overall, connections or examples to imperialism can be seen in The Martian Chronicles a lot when it comes to things like conflict, expanding far, and dealing with the natives.

In the text, the men on the fourth expedition say that if they can get the land, it’s theirs. The Native Americans are a lot like the martians. The men from Earth were very proud that they were from Earth when they arrive on Mars which is like United States nationalism. The first ones to Mars were very brave, just like the settlers. Also, the Earthlings going to Mars were trying to get something new, or just get rid of their old lives.

the fact there trying to give places new culture and build things on mars they were in a diprestion they were trying to get away from something. they were trying to get people to get away and help other places and some and things like bringing disease to other people or matins in this case

It talks about how we try to conquer mars like when we tried to take Canada but failed. It shows that we can not take everything and that we should not just try to take anything we want. The Martian chronicles also shows that we want to take them without thinking anything bad will happen but when we get there but then when the martians fought back it shocked people even though we were trying to take their homes.

Imperialism was expanding, taking over land, and spreading your ways. In the Martian Chronicles, where they lived was a lot like how it was on Earth. The earth men wanted to control more land just like the US wanted to do.

imperialism has some to do with Martian chronicles. The Martians thought that if they were taking over the land, it was their land, and so did America. also, in the text American wanted to take over mars and call it their own even if it meant wiping out the Martian race.

History pictures and paintings look a lot like how life might be like on mars. Not very modern. Explorers go to places and then when the fail they try again later with better tools and that is what I feel like going to mars will be. Just like going to the moon. We want to go to mars and take over or inhabit/colonize it. If one person goes and finds it safe, he will then come back to earth gather more people and go back. This process will repeat until almost everyone who wants to go there will be there. Imperialism shows its self in the martian Chronicles in conflicts and problems with others and when/if humans make it there.

This video that we watched in class connected to the marton chronicles on multiple levels. Firstly it showed that americans have always wanted to expand and have more territory. Along with councoring of native people and ruling their country/territory without their consent. These both connect back to the martian chronicles text by showing the americans coming to mars and wanting to be celebrated and treated like a king. And the fact that the spacemen are taking over land that isn't theres and getting rid of the native peoples.

The imperialism video made me think about the Martian Chronicles because, similar to the people going to Mars in the "Martian Chronicles", during Imperialism, there were people colonizing and migrating to America. Also, during Imperialism, the US was trying to acquire other countries and islands, and in the "Martian Chronicles", the Earthmen were going to Mars in order to eventually colonize and take over Mars. In the Martian Chronicles, the Earthmen were trying to take over Mars, for in the future there was to be a nuclear war. During Imperialism, the people from the US tried to take over other territories, for there were thousands of people migrating and there were cities full of trash and rats, and there needed to be more jobs and better space. Imperialism and Bradbury’s the "Martian Chronicles" are both related, for, in the book, Bradbury includes many things that also took place in imperialism.

In crash coarse he talks about how people try and concur Canada and fail. This shows how in the martian They try and take over mars but fail in doing so. This shows how hard it is to take something from someone else even though it is from a totally different place. From a different continent to a different planet. Taking things over is also good for resources. IN the book they go off to find new things. Including new resources.

Imperialism is the economical and political dominance of a stronger country over a weaker one. This relates to The Martian Chronicles, because they both are trying to become the dominant species. The martians were separate from the humans, and the American's were separate from the Cuban's. The are fine on their own. But the second someone else comes in from a different country or planet, they are not welcomed, or they are wanting to become dominant over you. America wanted to imperialize, because they thought they were stronger than every other country. The martians keep on killing the humans that come to Mars to show that they are stronger.

It makes me think about what the Martians could have done to prevent or protect Mars, and how is it like the USA? I notice a connection about spreading disease. The Europeans spread disease to the countries they traveled to and the Americans spread disease to the Martians when they traveled there. I can conclude from both sources that imperialism stays the same no matter what planet it’s on. It spreads diseases, tricks people, and can do more harm than good.

I can connect the Martian Chronicles to American imperialism because the Earth is trying to colonize on mars and the martians don't want them to. Bradbury addresses imperialism by connecting Earth to America and Mars to the Philippines.

In the video, America tried to annex Canada initially, and it reminds me of how the U.S tried to bring their culture to Mars and failed. Also, another connection I made was when I learned that Puerto Ricans were put into concentration camps and beaten by the U.S, while in The Martian Chronicles the Martians ended up killing the intruders to Mars. I think that the U.S' approach to imperialism was way less violent and not as bad when compared to James Bradbury's version. Another thing, is that the U.S was considering war back then, yet in the story the U.S came in peace, but the outcome ended up being way worse. All in all, I believe that these two topics have slight relation, yet the outcomes and the stories and situations are were way different.

Imperialism takes place a lot in the Martian Chronicles. One comparison would be like America trying to annex Canada. When America was searching for new land, they attempted to annex Canada. This attempt quickly failed, but it’s just like the Martian Chronicles. When humans went to Mars, they were quickly killed. Neither Canada nor humans stood much of a chance against their opponent, making these situations similar. The martians are just like Canada because they stood their ground and wouldn’t let the humans take them over. Imperialism is the dominance of a larger group over a smaller group. Humans are being imperialists by going to Mars to try to take it over.

This imperialism video relates to the Martian Chronicles because when we landed on Earth, the Martians villages were destroyed and many had died because of the diseases we had brought to Mars. That relates to how the U.S. took over colonies across the world. Bradbury addresses imperialism as if though humans ruin what was once great or independent.

The Imperialism video made me think about The Martian Chronicles because, in the book, the humans imperialized on Mars. For thousands of years, humans had imperialized on other countries, imposing their beliefs on political issues, religion, and race. In the video, it showed the well-known Manifest Destiny picture. In the book, the humans came to Mars believing their ways of life were superior to the Martians. Manifest Destiny supported the idea that the US should expand, and the humans in the book do the same on Mars. In addition, when European settlers traveled to North America, they spread disease, and the humans spread diseases to the Martians. Overall, The Martian Chronicles and the imperialism video showed how imperialism can sometimes be harmful rather than beneficial.

The Imperialism video connects to Bradbury's The Martian Chronicles, because they both are related to expansion and imperialism. In the video, it talks about when the US tried to annex Canada, and failed, this relates to the book because humans tried to go to mars and they failed numerous times. Also, the video talked about America expanding and taking over new countries. In the book, America is trying to expand and take over mars, because they think they are peerless compared to the martians. Overall the story The Martian Chronicles and The Imperialism video both have to do with the expansion of America.

In the martian chronicles, Bradbury introduces imperialism by showing how they deal with different things and how they deal on their planet. On our planet we have presidents and a government. We make our laws based on everybody. On mars the smarter people take control and all the last name of one letter used up to 3 times.
