"Lately iv'e been running out of time, I need another rolly, lateyly iv'e been on the west side don't need no other homies."
Macaroni by Boogie wit da hoodie. This tells me that this man has all of his success by doing what he loves and he doesn't need any other friends that he already has to be happy.
"There is a swelling storm, and I'm caught up in the middle of it all, and it takes control." Waves - Dean Lewis.
This is a metaphor. These lyrics tell me that there is chaos all around him, and he feels like he can't get a grip, and get a moment of piece.
"I'm friends with the monster under my bed."
by Eminem ft. Rihanna in the song The Monster. It exhibits symbolism because there is no monster she is really just referring to the problems she may have because she does not run away from them and instead embraces it.
“You really believe that's the truth
You never loved me like I loved you
You never loved me like I loved you
You never loved me like I loved you “
Like I loved you by Brett Young
This portion of the song exhibits a rhythm because it begins with one line and continues to repeat it until the song is over. Therefore, exhibiting a pattern.
“My heart is hoping”
Too Much to Ask by Niall Horan
This lyric exhibits personification. His heart is doing a human action, it actually can’t physically hope.
"Whisper words of wisdom, let it be." (Let It Be - The Beatles)
This line in the song shows alliteration with the letter "w", making the same sound.
In AJR’s song Turning Out, the lyrics towards the end say, “I'm a little kid, and so are you;
Don't you go and grow up before I do.” These two lines are repeated about 5 more times after that. This is of course repetition because those lines are repeated so many times. They’re repeated so much because they are very important to the plot of the song. It’s about growing up from being a kid to an adult, but he doesn’t want him or his friend to grow up yet. These two lines also show rhyme because “you” and “do” rhyme. This gives more beat and rhythm to the song.
“I’ve been down so long, it look like up to me”
Fake Love by Drake. This is an oxymoron because he puts being down and feeling up next to each other.
In David Guetta's, "Titanium," it states "Shoot me down, but I won't fall, I am titanium." This is an example of a metaphor because one is not literally made of titanium.
In Carrie Underwood's Good Girl " His lips are drippin honey but he'll sting you like a bee" This is an example of a metaphor and exaggeration
"And from his rib an angel born as Eve
Formed into flesh and promised him her hand" - "B," by Jaden Smith off of his project "SYRE." The bar uses Iambic Pentameter. This is a form of poetry that Shakespeare used in his poems, such as the poem "Romeo and Juliet."
In the song,"All star" by Smash Mouth it says "Not the sharpest tool in the shed" is an example of figure of speech because it is not to be taken seriously but to indicate he isn't the smartest
In the song "Finesse" by Bruno Mars, it says "When I'm walking with you, I watch the whole world shake." This is an example of a metaphor.
"I know you so well, so well" Jocelyn Flores by XXXTENTACION
In this line he passes before saying so well again and the is an example of caesura
