One similarity from the book and the the film was the cyclops still moved the big rock in front of the entrance and the people could not escape easily. Odysseus tries to be smarter than the cyclops and he tricks him. He tells him his name is nobody and he believes him. and this is all the same in both stories.

the simpsons takes the story and makes it more dramatic and less serious at the same time. The simpsons also exaggerates the story from the book. For example, when they were trying to go home nad got pushed back right away.
