This video show romeo and juliet if the play was aware of what was happening in the play. They acts more lose and was very different. It as funny the way the all used phones because it puts a modern spin on the play as well.

I think this commercial shows how quick and almost silly the two lovers fall in love.

this add shows makes me contemplate that if the play was even rushed more than it would still deliver the same message. it also makes me consider whether the true story of real love was demonstrated in the play and in the commercial.

The Nextel commercial is extremely fast and summarises the story within 30 seconds. What is the point of the phones in the commercial? The phones don't matter at all and it's the only thing that actually makes it a commercial. It is very satirical though with quotes like, "Better now!" This shows how the commercial isn't serious because this part is supposed to make the audience laugh.

The Nextel commercial of course summarizes the story of Romeo and Juliet in a matter of second. What I think is really shown through the short commercial compared to the full story is how dramatic decisions are made based off different events. In the full story if we really can lose sight of just how dramatic some of the characters are. In the commercial it really brings out the drama of characters being overly dramatic.
